How is your product different to other type of architectural moulds?
Unlike conventional styles of architectural moulds that use a lightweight concrete system, we design and cut EPS (expanded polystyrene) to shape, then spray coat it with layers of weather-resistant , high impact polyurethane. The result is a very lightweight and extremely durable building material.
Is it easily damaged?
The polyurethane coating we use has been used in this way for many years overseas in the same way we do. It is highly durable and takes a fair bit of impact before being damaged. If it does become damaged it is very easily repaired.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, our moulds can be installed by someone who has some DIY skills. We would recommend for bigger projects that you allow one of our qualified teams of installers to do the job for you.
How long does it take to manufacture?
Our manufacturing process means that the architectural moulds are ready to be installed the day that they are hard coated. There is no curing time like other systems. We can usually have your moulds ready for installation within a week of an order being placed.
What sizes does it come in?
The sizes of the architectural moulds are limited only by your imagination! Our standard lengths are 2.5m or 3.6m but we have previously done moulds up to 11m in one length.
How much does it cost?
We price our Architectural Moulds on volume ie: volume of polystyrene and volume of polyurethane used in the manufacture of them.
What is the Warranty on the product?
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions on the website.
What are the limitations of this product?
The only limitations on this product are your imagination.
What are the advantages of this product?
By manufacturing each job to order we are able to make adjustments to the moulds either make them bigger or smaller to suit. This allows our clients a freedom of choice without negatively impacting on costs or causing onsite delays. Also because of our installation methods we have very little maintenance ensuring that job looks as good in 5 years as it does the day it is finished.
What finishes can I put on this product?
This is determined by the profile that you choose. Any mould that has a profile with a radius in it, will need to be painted or spray textured. A mould that is square in profile can be trowel textured, painted or spray textured. We recommend that a textured paint is used when painting our mould as the finished job will then closely match a sand cement finished wall.
What items do you have in stock?
As our manufacture process is so quick we tend to carry limited moulds in stock. These would include corbels of various lengths ie: 100mm x 20mm and 172mm x 20mm.
What is the fixing procedure?
Please see the mould installation guide on the technical data page of the website.
